As part of the Critical Issues in Policing Series, the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) is examining the role of local police agencies in combating cybercrime.
PERF will host a meeting to address this issue on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Washington D.C. at the Washington Plaza Hotel, 10 Thomas Circle NW, Washington, DC.
While much has been written about what the federal government is doing to investigate cybercrime, it is less clear what role local law enforcement agencies should play. PERF’s conference will explore cybercrime from the point of view of local police, addressing these questions:
